I think a fair amount of that can be attributed to the MASSIVE shift in media coverage of the legislation leading up to it's passage.
For the past 12 months the media has done nothing but tell us what the republicans think of the bill. They've just covered the politics and the horserace.
Now that the bill is law, they've shifted coverage to the actual contents of the bill, and the public has shown its approval.
I've felt that the coverage shift has been dramatic.
It's reminded me a lot of the media portrayal of Candidate Barack Obama on Monday, Nov. 3 and then President-Elect Barack Obama on Wednesday, Nov. 5. The more I think about it, the more apt that comparison becomes.
