a Navy SEAL discusses his experience with waterboarding
and he says it's torture. This is probably the best discussion out there of exactly what waterboarding constitutes, the sensation it creates, and why it's torture.
I heard that ... waterboarding is actually taught as a turture technique that terrorists are likely to use at the interrogation school for Navy SEALs. How could it not be torture if it is named as such by the military itself? Why is this even a debate?
Also -- did you hear (on Day to Day) the photographer who talked about his experiences in Iraq? His book is called "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot."
That was actually in which this guy was exposed to waterboarding and was himself waterboarded: it was in training on how to withstand enemy interrogations. In fact, he videos himself being waterboarded on the site. Check it out and see for yourself.
