Evil little smiley face

Robert Greenwald (the maker of the fantabulicious film Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism) just released a a new movie called WalMart: The High Cost of Low Prices. It details allegations of union-busting, false advertising, bribery, worker exploitation, and fearmongering.

And that's just in the extra footage.

i want to see that one, but i wish i had cable for the freedom files. http://www.aclu.tv/

have you heard about it?

"The American Civil Liberties Union and award-winning producer/director Robert Greenwald (Outfoxed, Unconstitutional) have teamed up to create The ACLU Freedom Files, a revolutionary new series of ten 30-minute episodes. The series, produced and directed by Jeremy Kagan, explores current civil liberties issues, featuring well-known actors, comedians and activists, along with actual civil liberties clients and the attorneys who represent them.

By stripping away the sound bites, The ACLU Freedom Files reveals how civil liberties affect real people everyday. The stories are fueling a new brand of "information acTiVism," bringing together the power of media with the power of community action. Check out your viewing options for the series here to the right."

I'd heard of it, but I didn't know much about it. It does sound cool. Great, another reason to get cable! Damn!

Just saw half the walmart movie at lunch today. The law guild was giving free food so I got suckered into it :) Very good flick thus far though it leaves me with a few questions still...
